Description
Our contour surface sphere tool was specially developed for the precise machining of contours. The adjustable head means that even very complex workpieces can be machined.
Tool structure
The compact design of our contour surface ball tools type WKFK consists of a tool holder and a rotary holder with a spring-loaded ceramic ball. The adjustable head can be set in the range from -90° to 90°. The entire insert with the ball is a wear part and can be easily replaced. As an interface to the machine, we offer cylindrical tool shanks, square clamping bars or other special designs on request.
Machining
Machining metallic materials with a tensile strength of up to 1,400 N/mm² and a maximum hardness of 45 HRC is no problem for our contour surface ball nose tool. The workpiece must rotate and the machining must be carried out on lathe machine.
